The National Union of Public Service Reportorial, Secretarial, Data Processors and Allied Workers, NUPSRAN, Kogi State Council is at war with the state chapter of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigerian, JUSUN, over the latter’s opposition to the release of its secretariat staff.
NUPSRAN is also angry with the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, who should have given administrative order for the staff to be released, saying it is taking sides. Secretary of NUPSRAN, Mr. Omoikhunu Micheal, who made this known through series of complaints letter to the Head of Service, the High Court, JUSUN and NBA, said the JUSUN executive, aside poaching its members, had also ignored the directive of the state Head of Service to release the staff members to them.
He said the JUSUN Chairman had ignored room for peaceful resolution but rather asking them to go to court to seek redress.
The latest letter written to the NBA said it had become worrisome as their entreaties since last year to their members in the judiciary had met brick wall even when all the secretariat staff had been exempted at the national union of JUSUN to be with them.
