The Ekinrin Community Youth Movement has congratulated Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke on his appointment as Deputy Director-General, Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, describing the appointment as well-deserved recognition of his years of political service.

The appointment was part of a broader campaign council unveiled by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday, August 22, ahead of the 2027 general elections. President Tinubu chairs the council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda serving as Vice Chairmen, former Zamfara State Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari as Director-General, and Imo State Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma as Secretary. Faleke, who held a similar coordinating role during the party’s 2022/2023 presidential campaign, is expected to work with zonal directors across the country’s six geopolitical zones in his new position.

In a statement signed by its National President, Hon. Bidemi Oni, the Ekinrin Community Youth Movement described the appointment as a fitting reward for Faleke’s “hard work, dedication, political experience, leadership capacity, and unwavering commitment” to the APC and to President Tinubu’s re-election bid. The group said his track record in political organisation, grassroots engagement and strategic coordination gave it confidence that he would deliver value in the new assignment.

The youth movement, which identifies Faleke as its leader, declared its full readiness to support the election planning and mobilisation effort, pledging to contribute manpower, ideas, networks and grassroots support toward the campaign’s success. It also reaffirmed its broader commitment to youth development, community participation and responsible leadership.

“We are prepared to contribute our youthful energy, mobilisation strength, ideas, networks, and grassroots support towards the successful execution of the election planning, coordination, monitoring, and mobilisation objectives of the campaign,” the statement read.

The group closed its message with well wishes for Faleke in his new role, praying for the wisdom, strength and good health it said the assignment would require, and reiterated its congratulations to him as its “leader and father.”
