“Dear fellow citizens, as we celebrate our Independence Day, I would like to acknowledge that many of our people are currently facing hardship.
“However, I am confident that with the steadfast efforts of our President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the much-needed succour will come soonest.
“Under the leadership of our President, we have seen remarkable achievements in various sectors of our economy.
“The President has introduced a student loan facility that has greatly assisted students in funding their education.
He has also ensured the creation of Local Government Autonomy, which will help in the development of grassroots governance in our nation.
The President has also established various regional development commissions (South-West Development Commission, North-West Development Commission, North-Central Development Commission and South-East Development Commission) which will contribute significantly to the growth and development of our regions, a precursor for the Regional Government System aspired by most Nigerians.
“Additionally, the President has embarked on national restructuring efforts and this will eventually create a more equitable and just society,”Adesina said.
The TLF BoT Chairman added that the President has also struck a deal with a Russian Firm Tyazhpromexport (TPE) in effort to revive the moribund Steal industry, Ajaokuta Steel Company Ltd, in a move that will boost Nigeria’s quest for industrialization.
He added: “This is in line with the President’s plan for economic diversification.
“Various poverty reduction programs have also been implemented under the President’s leadership, aimed at improving the living standards of our people”.
He, therefore urged all Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support of our President.
“As the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Tinubu Legacy Forum, I urge all Nigerians to remain steadfast in their support of our President.
“Let us work together to build a brighter future for our nation, and let us never forget the sacrifices of our founding fathers in securing our freedom.
“I wish you all a happy Independence Day and a prosperous future for our great nation,” Adesina said.
