It is now obvious from the thank you tour to flag off ceremony to the just concluded tour of Kogi East Campaign towards the November 16 Kogi governorship election that the PDP candidate, Engineer Musa Wada will no doubt carry the day in line with the electorates and supporters aspirations

This is far from the ethnic agenda been peddled by the ruling APC. From the tumultuous crowd that greeted the occasion, it is a clear indication that the days of APC administration are numbered, as far Kogi state is concerned in a sane democratic environment.

Since the commencement of the campaign towards the November contest and the visits of the PDP candidate, Engineer Musa Wada, it has dawn on the good people of the state that the quest for a new administration has gathered momentum and if translated to victory, will mark the gory end of a government without people’s welfare and development.

His coming behind the two major political giants had portrayed a lot, especially that of divine intervention to the misgovernance in the last three and half years that has wiped off many successes achieved in the last two decades of the creation of the present Kogi state.

Musa Wada, with a slow and unimpressive beginning, owing to the crisis that characterised the aftermath of the party’s process of selection, designed to be frustrated by the powers that be in the state, the general acceptance that heralded his entry into the confluence state was spontaneous. The warm embrace defied creed, race, religion and belief, a triumph over the pretentious EBIGO.

In Musa Wada is a blanket and total movement to the other side of the lives of Kogites and their generation yet unborn, irrespective of political affiliations. In Wada, we are presented with a platform which the Kogi electorate and supporters are expected to throw in their weight to signify the herald of good governance, progress and development of the state that was retarded by the current APC led government.

Engineer Wada’s appearance has eaten up the presence of highly built thugs, police and security agencies connivance, INEC’s compromise and connivance and inability of the present leaders to account for their stewardship and achievements in the last three and half years.

Wada became a darling of the people of the state from Central, West and the Eastern flank that consists of the voting population of the state, geared towards attracting victory to the PDP candidate in Kogi election.

The resolve of PDP campaign team and Engineer Wada to storm his constituency and country home to unveil the PDP manifesto has sent members of the ruling party devising every unholy means and running from pillar to pole to match the people’s desire for Engineer Musa Wada to no avail.

The electorate in Omala, Ankpa and Olamaboro federal constituency, where the current Deputy governor hail from, defied both natural and artificial phenomenon of gun scare to show support and solidarity for Wada out of love and desire to install the government that respect human rights, social services, rule of law, development and advancement of human, physical and capital development of the society.

This trend has turned the ruling party to opposition party overnight in the state. Engineer Wada is vying for a political office for a first time, but opinion poll and local sayers have already awarded 80% performance and victory in the next election.

It became worst and nightmarish as the team storm the home of the PDP aspirant and Dekina federal constituency, which the APC and its apologists are struggling to come to terms to assessing and arriving at countering the mass support to their son, Engineer Musa Wada, with the Bassas vowing to pay back PDP candidate for the good work and tidings of his late father, whose service in their land remain evergreen. They vowed to translate the show of love to mass support in the November 16 election.

The unprecedented crowd in Idah federal constituency beginning from Ofu the following day caught the occupier of Lugard House napping and feelers have confirmed their resolve to do their best to vote enamss for PDP’s Engineer Musa Wada.

In Idah, the cradle and ancestral home of Igala kingdom, the people reassured Musa Wada of double advantage; as son of the soil and their blood. Overwhelmed by the large crowd, the PDP candidate had to use his car as podium to celebrate people’s acceptance.

The people of Igalamela-Odolu have no choice than to key into PDP project as they are previously known for. However, they are concerned by the level of arms build up by the APC supporters and their followers.

In Ibaji, the people of the area waited from dusk to dawn to catch a glimpse of Engineer Musa Wada and his team and to also get encouragement from the political mishap the area is subjected to.

According to them, they needed a word of hope and encouragement from the PDP’s Engineer Musa Wada to see them through current political logjam and worst treatment meted out to the Ibaji race since its existence many decades ago.

Their only desire is words of encouragement, message of hope to move them out of the perpetual political logjam and frustration in compensation for their highly revered kinsman who was disgraced and decapitated from a high profile office not long ago.

They want a trade by barter arrangement of give and take, to mitigate the tenure reverse in development that had affected the age long political and social development of the area.

They gave Engineer Musa Wada and PDP high hope not to return to Ibaji land again as canidate but as a governor of Kogi state by November who will come to fulfill the electioneering promises made to the people unlike the current order.

Wada’s acceptability in Kogi East has changed the political calculation of the ruling APC and a source of serious concern for Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja who are now gasping on the next move to counter the good omen and people oriented visits of PDP candidate.

Because of the “common enemy of the people” the present leaders had operated and acted against the people of the state, the course of victory will be more clearer in the West and the Central where the people, according to feelers, have refused to concede to tribal politics but development politics through PDP candidate, Engineer Wada.
