The member representing Ankpa, Olamaboro, Omala federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Ibrahim Abdullahi Halims has condemned the Tuesday attack on the people of Bagana in Omala local government area of Kogi state by unknown gunmen.

The Reps Member who noted that he was saddened by the recurring incidence of gunmen attack on the hapless people of Bagana and its environs called for restraints and urged resident to consider the incidence as an act of God.

He assured the people of his commitment to the security of lives and property of his constituents, stressing that he will work assiduously with the government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Omala LG Chairman and relevant stakeholders to putting an end to the orgy of violence in the area.

He called on the promoters of the heinous act to desist from further inflicting pains on the people as the security agencies are determined to pay them in their coins.

“As the representative of the people, I was saddened by the unfortunate incidence, in which promising Nigerians were mowed down without provocation.

“I commiserate with the paramount ruler of Omala LGA, the Onuh Ife (Ojoogba), HRH Boniface Musa, the Chairman of Omala LGC, Hon. Ibrahim Aboh, District Head of Bagana, Alih Haruna, the families that lost their loves and the good people of Bagana over the dastard act.

“I urge you to accept the ugly incident as an act of God and not to do anything that will breach the peace of the land and to pray fervently to God to expose all the actors and their sponsors.

“I hold you tenaciously to my heart and that is why the first motion I moved on the floor of the House was to call for the completion of Bagana-Guto bridge linking Kogi to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

“We must not allow this incidence to divide us which is the aim of the perpetrators. We must unite and forge ahead with our plans to make our land great,” he appealed.
