One of the leading aspirants in today’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primaries in Kogi State, Alhaji Abdulrazaq Isa Kutepa, has said he will secure victory.
Kutepa noted that having worked so hard by reaching out to the people in of the state, he strongly believed that he would get the backing of the party and lead it to victory in December.

Kutepa said this in an interactive session with newsmen and posited that unlike what happened in January, the best candidate would emerge this time. He therefore called on the national secretariat of the party to provide a level-playing ground for all the contestants and expressed confidence that he would win if the exercise was free and fair.

He stressed that he was not afraid of endorsement of some candidates, saying when they get to the field, the right candidate would emerge.
He also advised the delegates to look before they leap, noting that Kogi today is at crossroads. He said that opportunity should be given to those who can pull the state out of the woods.

According to him, he is not in the race because he comes from the minority ethnic group but because he strongly believed that with such enormous human and material resources, the state has no reason to be poor.

He promised to choose the first eleven among the numerous human resources to assist him in running a purposeful leadership if he eventually wins the ticket and emerge victorious in the December governorship poll. Kutepa posited that tourism, education and establishment of industries would be accorded priority, noting that the abundant mineral resources would be fully exploited for the overall wellbeing of the people.
