This is a passionate call to all Ijumu political leaders across parties, elderstatesmen, opinion moulders, respected citizens, political activists, sons and daughters of Ijumu land to put heads together and support a candidate who has the political will to represent the interest of Ijumu people at the Kogi State House of Assembly come March 9th 2019.
One would not argue the fact that, among the three contestants who are running to represent Ijumu constituency, namely, Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho of ADC, Otunba Adewale Saliu of PDP, Amb Olusola Kilani of APC, the candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has been participating in the spectrum of Ijumu politics for more than two decades ago, and he has always been available to partake in the development of Ijumu before the return of democracy. This alone doesn’t make him the most credible candidate amongst his co-contenders but it has also make him popular to the people of Ijumu and Okun land at large.
Amongst the traits that distinguishes the ADC candidate from his oppositions is his political exposure and the knowledge he had derived from his participation in practical politics, having studied political science in the university, one would deduce that he is competent enough to effectively represent the numbers of a given people, a region or otherwise if elected to do so.
Permit me to say, an average political leader and political follower in Ijumu know who Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho is, this is not only because he is popular but because he has always been committed and persistent to doing anything that will enhance the development of his immediate constituency, hence his popularity to the masses is of immense magnitude.
The candidate of the African Democratic Congress had once contested to represent Ijumu constituency around 2007 but he was prevailed upon by his party bigwigs hence the slogan “ASIKO TITO FUN ITESIWAJU IJUMU” is used to convey that it is time to contribute to the progress of Ijumu Land through the office of honorable member representing Ijumu constituency at Kogi state house of Assembly 2019.
One of the reasons why Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho is adjudged the Credible alternative is his eight (8) point agenda which prioritized sound and proactive legislation. His eight (8) point agenda are;
HEALTH; Building of cottage hospitals across the Communities in Ijumu Land and adequate provision of necessary equipments for smooth running of the health system across the cottage hospitals.
EDUCATION; Partnering with the state Ministry of Education and the state government to transform the educational system in Ijumu constituency and speaking for the interest of the teachers across Ijumu land and Kogi state as whole.
AGRICULTURE; Taking a radical approach to modernize agricultural system across Ijumu land by providing a modern equipments that will boost the activities of farmers in Ijumu, equipments like tractors, herbicides, fertilizers and so on.
YOUTH/WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho had once vowed to provide a vocational skill acquisition centre where his constituents would be engaged in skill acquisition program where all participants would be encouraged by providing a soft loans and materials needed to start a small scale of work.
EMPLOYMENT; As a politician who have access to several non governmental organizations, Ipinmisho will facilitate employment for the Sons and Daughters of Ijumu by every reasonable means. The rate of unemployment youths in Ijumu will be drastically reduced.
INFRASTRUCTURES; Provision of clean and drinkable water, Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho had took an aggressive steps on how to resuscitate the crumbled infrastructural projects in Ijumu land, recently he visited Nilo Dam Water scheme to know how the contaminated water can be revived for man use.
CULTURE REJUVENATION; As a lover of culture who has contributed immensely to the popular Ogidi cultural fiesta amongst others, Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho will generate employment through the rich cultural heritage of Okunland.
SPORTS; Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho promised to encourage sports as entertainment and professional activities for life improvement and enjoyment through organizing inter sports tournaments where a competition will be hosted and teams across Ijumu will participate and where both winners and losers would be encouraged.
Dear political leaders, opinion moulders, political followers and all Sons and Daughters of Ijumu land, this is the Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho you all know, someone who you have been together in the struggle for a while, someone who has the capacity to deliver. Someone who has promised what to do if elected.
You may be a PDP loyalist, in fact, you may be a staunch or an ardent loyalist of APC, that doesn’t stop you not to support competency, accountability, probity, accessibility and quality representation in Otunba Shuaib Ipinmisho.
This time around we have to eschew party politics, politics of sentiment and take the development of our community above our self interest by rallying round the most credible candidate who will make the development of our community his responsibility.
The next Kogi State House of Assembly needs someone who is experienced, someone who is intelligent, someone who is radical enough to resist the tyrannical government we have in Kogi state. Ipinmisho will represent you effectively.
