A support group, Natasha 100%, has called out Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for threatening the people of Kogi Central senatorial district over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Barr. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
The group led by young Nigerian entrepreneur, Tanimu Kazeem, made this known in a statement in responding to Governor Bello’s alleged threat during his visit to Kogi Central over the weekend.
According to Kazeem, the Governor has not been a good ambassador of the youths as he continually projected their image negatively.
He noted that Natasha is loved by the people of Kogi state, unlike Yahaya Bello that “has done nothing positive in the state”.
Kazeem, who commended the people of Kogi for always supporting Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, said the time has come for the people to cast their votes for the PDP candidate for her to attract more developments to the region as Senator.
“As an entrepreneur and politician, Natasha Akpoti has done credibly well for the people of Kogi unlike Governor Yahaya Bello who is seeing her as threat in Kogi State.
“Her achievements in Kogi are unprecedented and can’t be compared to that of Governor Yahaya Bello.
“Yahaya bello has mismanaged the state resources and at the moment he is owing workers salaries and millions of youths are jobless. Parents are suffering and there is high level of insecurity in Kogi state.
“We all know Yahaya Bello is a youthful governor but has represented the youths negatively.
“He should stop threatening people against supporting Natasha’s senatorial ambition and should stop accusing outsider of sponsoring her ambition. He can’t stop Akpoti-Uduaghan from clinching the Kogi Central senatorial seat in 2023,” he said.
According to Kazeem, “even if Bello spend the remaining months as governor in Kogi Central campaigning against Natasha, the people won’t listen to him because he hasn’t done anything meaningful projects in that region”.
“Natasha is a fearless, intelligent and courageous young lady and no doubt when elected as a senator will deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Kogi
“The All Progressive Congress APC in Kogi State, through Yahaya Bello, has failed the people of Kogi state.
“We are optimistic of her victory come 2023 as a Senator because God has always been on her side.”
