Igalamela/Odolu: Peter Iduh, Friday Makama, Others Receive PDP Decampees

Renowned pharmacist, philanthropist and business mogul, Chief Peter Yakubu Iduh, two term Kogi State House of Assembly member, Hon. Friday Sani Makama and other prominent stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) were on hand to welcome hundreds of decampees from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Avrugo Ward, Igalamela/Odolu local government area of Kogi state.

Former PDP ward chairman and secretary for Avrugo as well as the immediate past Councillor representing the ward led hundreds of supporters out of the major opposition party into “joining forces” with the ruling party.

Chief Peter Iduh commended the decampees for “taking the bold step away from wasted years in the PDP.”

“I urge you to come in and make massive difference in the APC as the party continues to wax stronger under the leadership of Governor Yahaya Bello. 

“You have all taken a wise decision which will positively affect the fortunes of APC in Igalamela/Odolu, Kogi State and Nigeria as a whole.” 

Chief Iduh also urged the defectors to support the. government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello and the “ultimate nationwide call by Nigerian youths to transform GYB to PYB in 2023.”

Similarly, immediate past lawmaker representing Igalamela/Odolu Constituency, Hon. Friday Sani Makama described the APC as “a comfortable abode for all well meaning citizens.”

“We are all one. PDP is dead and gone. We must all work as an indivisible team. All the stakeholders of the party must embrace our new embers in order to advance the fortunes of our great party,” he added. 

All new decampees were handed over to the APC Chairman in the local government area, Hon. Paul Abalaka.

Other highlights of the event were solidarity speeches by Amb. Tony Ogah, Paul Abalaka, Danjuma Odiba, Musa Adama and other major stakeholders of the party.
