Idah Club 6575 Donates Personal Protective Equipment to Zonal Hospital

Concerned philanthropists and non-governmental organizations have been called upon to put all hands on deck in the fight against COVID -19 pandemic.

The President of Club 6575, Samuel Ogali made the appeal during the presentation of personal protective equipment to Idah Zonal Hospital in Idah, Kogi State.

The items donated include cartons of face masks, hand sanitizers, packets of hand gloves and an infrared thermometer.

Ogali, accompanied by the Club Director of Publicity and Strategy, Samuel Dunga Jubrin, Secretary Board of Trustee, Dr. Mohammed Ali and President Ojuju Agbaadufu, Mr Christopher Okwenya said the gesture is borne-out of a desire to curtail the spread of the novel Corona virus causing death toll at alarming proportion globally stressing that prevention is better than cure.

The Medical Director of the Zonal Hospital, Dr. Monday Audu thanked the association for the gesture of giving back to their community.

He urged illustrious sons and daughters of Idah, non-profit organizations, and public spirited individuals to complement government efforts by joining the fight against COVID-19.

Speaking also, some of the Club members pledged to do more developmental projects for the greater benefit of Kogites.

The Idah Club 6575 was founded on 26th December, 2018 to among other reasons promote unity and community development service through their social responsibility programmes.

The Club 6575 earlier enrolled 40 indigent Students for JAMB examination, free medical treatment for people in Idah Zonal Hospital and creation of awareness on the dangers of thuggery, cultism and proliferation of light weapons.
