This journey commenced in March 2021 stating our vision for our dear state. The vision was hailed in some quarters but met with skepticism in some other quarters because of our experience of the past whereby character, integrity has been replaced with money and ruthlessness.

We were not discouraged as we kept recruiting and cultivating our best for the task ahead.

Aside from personal consultations, we have today five whatsap platforms and other social media for discussions of both local, national and international issues but with emphasis on the core issue of the Governorship race. God has been faithful as we have raised political discourse to a very high pedestal on our platforms.

It is unfortunate that some of our discussions deviated from the set objectives. More worrisome is the deviation from issues to name calling targeting the major presidential candidates. We have found it difficult to sanction offenders because of the calibre of people involved and the way we brought ourselves together across party divide.

I will appeal that in this month of election, we should remain focused and discuss with decorum, our primary objectives.

For any avoidance of doubt, I decamped to All Progressives Congress (APC) in year 2017 and have remained consistent with the party. While differing to the freedom of choice for members on our platforms, I want to publicly affirm my support for the presidential candidate of APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu (BAT) and I urge our supporters to do same.

Nigeria at this time needs a national and focused leader of BAT stature to take the country out of the woods. I believe he has the track records, experience and maturity to do so.

I have always respected the large heartedness of the APC presidential candidate in assembling his kitchen cabinet and confidant across Nigeria, irrespective of tribe and background of which Hon Abiodun Faleke has been a major beneficiary and his confidant.

I also urge our supporters who believe in the party will also cast their votes for other party candidates at different levels.

By His grace, I remain committed to our vision to contest the governorship election later this year. We must not waiver. This will enable us reposition our state for progress, equity, good governance and prosperity.

Together we can. Thank you. God bless our state and our country.

– Hon Dayo Akanmode
APC Governorship Aspirant
