Hummel Partners Kogi on Sports Development

Kogi State Governor, Captain Idris Ichalla Wada has further reiterated his commitment to empower the youths through his transformation agenda in sports sector.

Governor Wada who stated this at the formal unveiling of the new Hummel Sports kit for both Kogi United and Confluence Queens Football Clubs at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja noted that sports, especially football was a major tool in promoting unity hence the need to develop the sector.

Represented by the Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership, PPP, Mallam Abdul Adama, Governor Wada lauded the partnership with Hummel adding that it was a reflection of restructuring and repositioning the two clubs were going through.

He however called on relevant stake holders on sports to partner with the state government in making Kogi a force to reckon with in Sports.

Earlier, Hummel ambassador in Africa, who is also the Technical Adviser of Kogi United, Abdul Sule said the Denmark based manufacturing sports company decided to partner with Kogi State Government as a result of its positive interest in developing sports.

Abdul Sule who played for Super Eagles in the 90s said Hummel would continue to strengthen its relationship with the state to achieve greatness in sports.

Kogi United is campaigning in the Nigeria National League, NNL while Confluence Queens is one of the 12 clubs challenging for honours at the maiden Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL.
