The home side, yet to win a match on away ground in the season, dominated the match and could have scored more goals, based on the chances created.
Benard Ogbe-tutored Jets soaked pressure late on in the game as the Wada Boys searched for more goals but scores remained unchanged till the final whistle.
Kogi United Coach, Fatai Osho, expressed delight with his wards’ performance but said the quest to emerge as promotion candidate remained intact.
“Getting 100 per cent at home will not be enough, as I have kept telling my players,” Osho told newsmen yesterday. “As we go on, we have to pick vital points on away grounds and then we can begin to really consolidate,” he added.
Club Chairman, Mallam Abdul Adama, also echoed the coach, saying the players would be motivated to get points on the road.
Meanwhile, Kogi’s Media Officer, Wale Mustapha, has said that the players and coaching crew have resolved to win their first away victory when they face Prisons FC at next weekend.
“The belief is stronger now than ever and they are really going for the win,” Mustapha submitted.
