In what looks like a twist and a house divided against itself, the family of late Rt. Hon. Arc. Umar Buba Jibril, otherwise known now as the Buba Political Family, has presented four names to the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for consideration and approval to replace the late Deputy House Leader.
In a letter dated April 21st 2018 and signed by six members of the family, the four names presented for consideration are Mrs. (Hajiya) Maryam Umar, Dr. Idris Nuhu Ibrahim, Mr. Mikail Danlami El-Mahmud and Mr. Isah Yahaya Jibril.
Names of the signatories are Alh. Baba N. Idris, Alh. Salihu Jibril, Hajiya Zainab Muhammad Maku, Hajiya Ramatu Jibril, Hajiya Aisha Abdullahi and Engr. Yakubu Umar.
It may be recalled that the late Member representing Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency has represented the Constituency now for the third term and was rumoured to be preparing for season 4 before his demise.
Since his demise, a lot of names have come up from the political family seeking to replace their leader, prominent among them are Hon. Muhammed Mabo Kassim, Alh. Yakamata, Hon. Barr. Shaba Ibrahim and host of others.
