In a surprising turn of events, the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, and House of Representatives member, Arch. Salman Idris have orchestrated a massive defection of over 2000 members from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), and African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area of Kogi state to the ruling party.

A notable PDP stalwart, Hon. Joash Onemayin, and other prominent members such as Chief Noah Olorunipa, Mr. Rufus Ojo, Mr. Omotola Olorunmaiye, Hon. Francis Omodamori, Hon. Alausa, Mr. Taiwo Ojo, Mrs. Taiwo Ojo, Mr. Edward Shogo, and Festus Omodamori joined All Progressives Congress (APC) at an elaborate event in Kabba, Kabba-Bunu local government, on Saturday.

The new members expressed their confidence in the leadership of Hon. Wemi Jones and Arch. Salman Idris, citing their developmental strides and commitment to good governance as reasons for their defection.

Hon Jones and Arch Salman expressed their gratitude for the overwhelming show of support and promised to continue working tirelessly for the betterment of the people of Kabba-Bunu LGA and Kogi State as a whole.

Hon. Joash Onemayin promised to work together with the APC and its leadership to ensure the success and progress of the party in the local government.
