The members representing Lokoja II state constituency, Hon. Idris Ndako has congratulated the newly inaugurated executive members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kogi State council for their victory and the successful conduct of a credible and freest election.
The lawmaker, who is a media friendly personality, said the electoral committee in NUJ provided a fair playing ground, ensuring that the contest was credible. He urged other political stakeholders to emulate the transparency and fairness in the conduct of election that brought in the Vice Chairman, Abubakar Suleiman and other members.
Hon Ndako advised the new executive to embark on meaningful projects and the general turnaround of the NUJ premises throughout their stay in office. He equally said they should give priority to the general welfare of all members of the union. He admonished the executive members to remain committed to initiating programs and policy that would enhance journalism in Kogi State and Nigeria.
He therefore pledge his support to the council, ably led by Comrade Adeiza Momoh Jimoh and his Vice, Comrade Abubakar Sulaiman, adding that he would be ready to assist the union in whatever capacity.
“I am delighted to know that our brother from Lokoja was part of the wining team, Abubakar Sulaiman, their victory at the the just concluded NUJ delegates conference has filled me with immense joy. I take this opportunity to congratulate him and the Chairman on their well deserved victory”, he said.
