Hon. Isiaka Kokori Lauds Wada on Security, Peace in Kogi State

Few weeks after the successful launching of the Kogi State Security Trust Fund, the immediate past secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, (PDP), Mallam Isiaka Kokori Abdul has applauded the state governor, Capt. Idris Wada for his unwavering commitment to build a peaceful secured and stable Kogi state.

Mallam Kokori Abdul who spoke exhaustively to the Graphic last week noted that the administration of Capt. Wada has recorded unprecedented achievements in ensuring the security of the citizens, saying that the state has witnessed peaceful co-existence of the various ethnic and religions groups in the state in recent time.

According to the former PDP secretary, it is noteworthy that Kogi state is fast becoming an investors destination hub and are of the most secured, peaceful and economically vibrant state in the comity of states in the country.

He said the governor has demonstrated what he called “uncommon resolve to diversify the economy of the state without over dependence on the dwindling monthly allocations from the federation account, stressing that this feat is a measure of Wada’s vision and prudent management of scarce resources.

Mallam Kokori Abdul lauded the transformation agenda of the present administration, stressing that the government had recorded what he called “giant strides in few key areas such as human capital development, capacity building, agricultural development, aggressive tax drive, critical infrastructure and adequate attention given to the well being of the state civil servants and pensioners”.

The former PDP scribe further enjoined the people of the state to continue to give their maximum support to the governor in his untiring effort to reposition the state for sustainable development and greatness.

He observed that the ongoing “thank you tour” of the governor to all the 21 local government areas in the 21 local government areas in the state would add value to good governance in the state, saying that it would go a long way to foster unify, monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects, and the completion of all inherited projects in the state.

Mallam Kokori Abdul further gave kudos to all relevant security agencies in the state for their “apparent synergy in intelligence gathering and crime fighting resulting in the attainment of peace and sharp drop in crime rate in the state.
