As part of efforts to officially declare his ambition for the Kogi State governorship, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Omebije, picked the gubernatorial nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to run for the Kogi State number one job.

This is coming few weeks after he met social media influencers and some key elders in Kogi.

Omebije, accompanied by supporters and well-wishers, was at the national headquarters of the PDP, Wadata House in Abuja on Friday to submit his nomination forms as he is set to officially declare his intention to run in the 2019 election for governorship.

Addressing his supporters, he said: “This is not the time for party and merriment, there is work to be done.”

Confirming the development to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday, the Director General of the Omebije Campaign Organization, Hon. Farouk Adejo-Audu said that Omebije’s anticipated emergence as the PDP candidate will change the political narratives of Kogi State.

He urged Kogites to be ready to vote massively for a new governor from PDP who will serve them and not godfathers.

Omebije’s PDP is expected to be the main challenger to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
