The Deputy Majority Leader of Kogi State House of Assembly and Member representing Ankpa 1 State Constituency, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed, on Friday , was honored with an award of excellence in Kogi State University, Anyigba.
Ahmed was honoured alongside Dr. Joseph Omoniyi, the University Librarian and Dr. Usman Ogbo, the Head of Department Political science during the first public lecture titled “Information as a tool for promoting National Peace and Stability ” organised by the department of Library and Information Science via the leadership of Comrade Kelvin O. Abraham, the president of National Association of Library and Information Science Students, KSU Chapter.
Hon. Ahmed who recently was honoured with the “Heart of Gold” award by the Miss Beauty Europe in Lagos, also received an award in recognition of his efforts in policy agenda and youth empowerment by students of Kogi State University, Anyigba.
Speaking at the event, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed reiterated his support for good governance while he however appreciated and encouraged the organizers of the event to continue to endear accolades on those who really worth it against the canopy of sycophancy.
