If you are in any leadership position, you must observe three G’s: meaning you must give and get others to give; If you, as a leader, cannot give good leadership, good governance, understand what development is, and maintain values within our culture, then you must you are not fit to hold leadership position.
Beyond politics, the man- Hon Ahmed Mohammed is exceptional when it comes to understanding the plight of his people. A successful businessman turn politician, who remain undaunted and resolute in his resolve to take Ankpa LGA to a greater height, is passionately committed to his 6-point agenda and area of focus since he took oath of office to represent the people of Ankpa I State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly.
Honorable Ahmed Mohammed through his Foundation seeks to help reduce the unemployment rate in ANKPA LGA through its Youth Empowerment Scheme. The scheme has been developed to help the youths through capacity building, skill acquisition and business grants support to help them start up or expand existing businesses. Talented young people are been taken off the streets and are empowered through this scheme. Beneficiaries of the scheme are given the opportunities to be trained in their chosen vocations under an internship or apprenticeship arrangement.
The Foundation also help some of this youth startup their own business by providing them with business grant to startup or expand existing businesses and organise entrepreneurial training for youths to gain knowledge about the local business environment, mentoring, and networking with other entrepreneurs.
In his words; “Through my foundation, (Ahmed Mohammed Foundation) we’ve launched a Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Scheme, to train the youths in different skills, E.g. Tailoring/Fashion design, Mechanical Engineering, Fabrication Engineering, Aluminium doors/windows training, ICT/Computer Engineering, Etc. The first phase started November 2016 and the second phase kick-off August 2017. And we are hoping to graduate and empower them soon. We will also kick-off the third phase as soon as possible. It is a continuous process.”
“We’ve also empower women, youths who came up with a good business plans and ideas, and needed capital to start a business; encourage youths with productive ideas and mentorship where necessary”, he said.

Leadership qualities are essential for the success of anybody who is in a leadership role. Without the right leadership qualities, it is impossible to hold and manage a leadership position.
Honorable Ahmed Mohammed is a man who has, within the shortest time written his name in Gold. His records of achievements has placed him above his contemporaries. A man who is so passionate about the welfare of his people, he’s a man who is focused and commitment to a cause he believed in.
The people of Ankpa I State Constituency unanimously assures you full support for a second term in office as a result of your numerous achievements. If you can achieve this in two years, despite the legal challenges faced, then you will do more for the people of Ankpa LGA if given a second chance.
