The presiding Bishop of Chapel of Freedom International Churches, Lokoja, Dr. John Ibenu , has described the late Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, Dr. Ado Ibrahim, as a seasoned administrator who cherished peace and unity.

Bishop Ibenu made this known while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja on Sunday.

The immediate past Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi state chapter, said he received the news of the demise of Ohinoyi of Ebira Land with sadness, but with gratitude to God for his longevity.

“On behalf of myself, the Chapel of Freedom and the Christian community in Kogi state, I wish to commiserate with Governor Yahaya Bello, his government and the entire people of Ebira nation over the passage of the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land.

“We have lost a father, a seasoned administrator, a man of wisdom par excellence, a man of peace and unity. In his time, a lot of the violence that we used to know before came to almost zero.

“We thank God for his life. We pray that God will comfort the family. We urge the family to emulate the exemplary and outstanding life of this great father, leader and mentor of many in the land, not just Kogi state but the nation,” he said.

Bishop Ibenu prayed that God will give Ebira nation somebody that is even greater to succeed him.
