Member representing Ankpa federal constituency of Kogi state, Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has been commended by the Genius Discovery Foundation (GDF) for standing firm and committed to the socio-economy development of his constituency.
This he displayed through been at the “beck and call” of his predecessor, Hon Hassan Omale in order to ensure all inherited projects are brought to fruition and in the light of this, motorized boreholes are soon to be commissioned in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
The commendation of GDF was made known by a statement issued by the group’s Head of Strategic Communications, Mr. Ata Hussein in a close monitoring of events across and outside Ankpa Federal Constituency.
According to the statement, it takes an uncommon courage, synergy of purpose, uprightness and goodwill for previous projects to be completed stressing that such singular act doesn’t only transcends of the people oriented disposition of the serving lawmaker but a show of integrity.
“In time pasts, rather than see to the completion of inherited Constituency projects, politicians seeks to serve the avarice of their Urges by negotiating the financial sums of such projects, against the execution which tends to be of more benefit to the electorates,” the statement read.
The Genius Foundation equally commended the ex-lawmaker, Hon Hassan Omale for identifying the needs of the area while he was in office, urging the Nigerian budget implementation agencies to put more efforts at ensuring that release of funds for infrastructures do not exceed the targeted fiscal years.
On his part, Hon Halims has vowed that irrespective of who initiated and how long whatsoever that is due for the people of his constituency has been initiated, he shall stop at nothing in ensuring that what is due for Ankpa Federal Constituency gets to them, without recourse to who takes the credit.
As member representing Ankpa I State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Halims was widely revered for his undying desire of the progress of his constituency and has no doubt, kept up with this reputation at the National Assembly.
