- Says ‘I am Number One Servant of the State’.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo has promised to reconstruct Ogidi-Ayere road in Ijumu local government area of the state.
The Governor made this known when he welcome a former Director General of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Asiwaju Lanre Ipinmisho and his team.
Asiwaju Ipinmisho expressed gratitude for recent appointments of Ogidi indigenes, including Alhaji Ibrahim Haruna and Hon. Lamidi Saliu.
He also thanked the Governor for delivering palliatives to the APC Igbolaere/Ilaere Ward led by Hon. Shuaib Ipinmisho.
He also delivered the message of HRM Ologidi of Ogidi Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Rabiu Oladimeji Sule, requesting the reconstruction of Kabba-Ogidi-Ayere road, a promise Governor Ododo made during his campaign.
Governor Ododo, who humbly referred to himself as the “Number One Servant of the State”, reassured the delegation that Ogidi road tops his priority list.
“Tell my father Ologidi that Ogidi Road will be done,” he said.
He praised Asiwaju Ipinmisho for his support and advice, promising to deliver on his campaign promises without delay.
State Chairman of APC, Alhaji Abdullahi Bello (alias Dollar), also expressed appreciation for the support from Asiwaju Ipinmisho and the Ogidi community, acknowledging the party’s gratitude for their contributions.
