Governor Usman Ododo has approved the sum of N8billion for the construction of male and female hotels in the Kogi State University, Kabba.
The State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, made this known during a press briefing in Lokoja on Friday.
He said the approval also covers for the construction of the university senate building and faculty of science.
This is coming on the heels of ongoing massive infrastructure work in the fledging university.
The ongoing infrastructural projects, which encompasses lecture halls, road network and administrative buildings, are rapidly transforming the university into a premier center for learning and excellence.
The Commissioner disclosed that following the approval of N8b, contractors will soon move to site in the next few days to begin construction.
