Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello has described the demise of Prof. Ibrahim Abdulsalami as saddening.
In a press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Onogwu Muhammed, Bello stated that Prof. Abdulsalami’s exceptional contribution to academic development will remain dear to lovers of education.
“It was with deep regret but total submission to the will of Almighty Allah that we learnt about the passing away of a great educationist, Prof Ibrahim Abdulsalami.
“His profound personality is memorable. I always cherished the memory of his hardworking capacity, well planed and well disciplined lifestyle.
“As a Professor in public administration, Ibrahim Abdulsalami was one of the shining lights and a colossus in the education sector who contributed immensely to the education development of Nigeria for many decades before his retirement and to the time of his passing.
“He has left an indelible mark on the sands of time and his exceptional contribution to academic development will remain dear to lovers of education whenever they recall his contributions to the growth of that sector.
“We have lost a decent statesman and one of the finest intellectuals in our generation. He will sorely be missed,” he said.
