Kogi State Chairman of United Labour Congress, Comrade Simeon Opaluwa has called on President Mohammadu Buhari to earn honour by transmitting the new minimum wage to the National Assembly.

In a press statement, Opaluwa called on Buhari to honour his campaign promises.

The labour leader said payment of N30000 minimum wage to workers is no longer negotiable.

He warned that failure to pay the agreed new minimum wage has serious consequences.

“President Muhammadu Buhari should transmit the National minimum wage bill to the National Assembly or risk industrial action in the coming days. He should note that Nigerian workers are not happy with his administration over the protracted delay,” he disclosed.
