The 21 local government chairmen who were removed from office along with the entire democratic structures on December 8, 2014 based on the judgement of the High Court of Justice Koton Karfe, Kogi State, has accused Governor Idris Wada of not obeying the Appeal Court judgement reinstating them back to office.

The former chairmen in a statement made available to LEADERSHIP Friday, on Thursday, noted that on 23rd Oct, 2015, the Court of Appeal Holden at Abuja delivered an epic judgement, setting aside the judgement of the High Court of Justice Koton Karfe, Kogi State which purportedly removed all the 21 local government council chairmen along with the entire democratic structures from office on the 8th December, 2014.

They alleged that the governor has refused to obey the Order of the Court of Appeal re-instating the local government chairmen and their ward councilors. The former chairmen said as law abiding chairmen and ward councillors, they took further legal steps by seeking and obtaining a Notice of Consequences of Disobedience to Order of Court under form 48 (Order IX Rule 13) Appeal NO: CA/A/194/2015 dated 3rd November, 2015.
