The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary election has come and gone. Winner(s) have emerged and losers are either negotiating or licking their wounds.

Engineer Musa Wada has emerged as our candidate in PDP, would his emergence give us the needed motivation to put out our all in working assiduously to remove the current Lugard House dictator?

The incoming Engr Wada is Alhaji Suleiman Ibrahim Idris in babaringa {disguise}, whose younger sister, Asmau is married to Engr. Wada.

Suleiman Ibrahim Idris is Musa Wada’s ‘god-father’ if age will be disregarded. He bankrolled Wada’s aspiration and was able to hijack a sizeable chunk of his father’s political structure for him.

Suleiman, a.k.a Sule Ibro, worked against his blood brother during the PDP primaries because of the hatred of Abu Ibro not sharing the same mother with him. He splashed huge money on his in-law to buy delegates with the sum of N300,00 each and a motorcycle to secure votes for the husband to his sister, Engr Wada who worked at the Nigerian Ports Authority for many years before resigning.

With Musa Wada’s victory at the primary, it is an undeniable fact that Suleiman has successfully dethroned his father, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, a former governor of the state, as the new ‘god-father’ in Kogi PDP.

The family war going on in our leader Baba Ibro’s family spells doom for whoever would emerge governor as the battle line between Abu Ibro and Suleiman Ibro has been drawn. The hatred did not start from today. When our leader ruled the state for nine years, Suleiman’s mother was First Lady who sowed hatred in the minds of her children by doing everything within her powers to ostracize Abu and his mother from the spoils of Lugard House.

Suleiman is an economic terrorist who looted Kogi’s resources during his father’s reign, scavenged many properties of his father and converted them into his with the taciturn support of his mother who ensured Abu’s mother never came close to the pudding as much as her own children. Suleiman is probably the richest son of the Ibro dynasty as he is more ruthless and politically business minded than all of Ibro’s children. His properties in Abuja alone runs into billions of Naira under different proxies.

The same Suleiman who shared the funds for delegates on behalf of Atiku Abubakar during the PDP convention in Rivers state has secured the former Vice President’s support via a prodigy, Engr  Musa Wada who many believed helped Atiku’s Intels in ports dealings. Intels, which belongs to Atiku, is currently undergoing different face-off with the Federal Government of Nigeria for evading taxes for years and other malpractices.

It was under the same arrangement that the PDP secured Atiku’s support to infiltrate the National Working Committee of our party which ceded the ticket to Musa Wada after the Lokoja primaries elections was disrupted and scattered by when it was discovered that their alibi who also doubled as the Chairman of the primary committee, Gov Fintiri could not do anything when the delegates were voting in favour of Abu Ibro massively.

When guns rented the air, Engr Musa Wada secured all the ballot boxes which he took to his house before returning them in the morning. The night robbery perpetrated by Suleiman and Musa was grave to have obscured the chances of Abu Ibro when Engr. Musa Wada stuffed additional votes into the boxes to emerged winner.

The votes of Senator Dino Melaye was also reduced to come a distant fourth place in order to prevent the eventualities of him coming close to third or second.

The battle to remove Governor Yahaya Bello must be a clarion call for all lovers of Kogi state and supporters of development. As a core PDP lover and party stakeholder, we must not also relent in speaking the truth to power when the time permits.

I am also a core advocate of Igala agenda based on the principle of democracy being about the power of numbers. Engr Wada is an Igala man, we have served two Igala men in Kogi state under PDP which means PDP is traditionally an Igala party for all lovers of democracy. Can we also beat our chest to say the choice of Engr Musa Wada, by the new Ibro dynasty, is the best for Kogi state as the de-facto Governor would be in the person of Suleiman Ibro?

The outcome of the PDP family has left a sour grape in enthusiasm in the different camps of the party if anyone is to speak the truth. The war of attrition and family disenchantment is too humongous for us to ignore as Abu Ibro went with his father, Suleiman Ibro and siblings have their own camps which by implication if Suleiman succeeds in installing Engr Musa Wada as Governor our party is headed for doom because a new god-father who is more ruthless, financially intuited and hungry for more Kogi resources must have emerged.

The power play and power sharing still retains within the family of our leader Ibrahim Idris and the Wadas which is bad for many of us who want the party of be reinvented.
