Stakeholders of PDP in Kogi State, including Sen. Dino Melaye, former Governors, Idris Wada and Ibrahim Idris, serving members of the House of Representatives and the party’s candidates for the general elections have said the APC is threatening the forthcoming polls.

Addressing newsmen yesterday in Abuja, the stakeholders, led by the PDP Chairman in the state, Engr. Sam Uhuoto, said the ruling APC in the state was weakening the opposition and threatening its chances of winning the forth-coming general polls.

Engr. Uhuoto who called on INEC, the acting Inspector General of Police, the National Security Adviser and the National Peace Committee to prevail on the APC to “sheathe its sword”, also demanded a thorough investigation into allegation of arms stockpiling and training of arms-bearing militia in the state in the guise of vigilantes.

He also demanded the dismantling of all the alleged training camps for the militia and confiscation of the illegal arms in their custody.
