Estate Manager Hails Gov Ododo Over Plans to Build 1000 Housing Units for Kogi Workers

The Chief Executive Officer of Good Trust Real Estate, Lokoja, Hon. Peter Suleiman has commended Governor Usman Ododo for approving his organization to scout for 100 hectares of land to build 1000 housing units for Local Government and State workers in Kogi State.

Hon. Suleiman gave the commendations during an interactive session with journalists on Tuesday.

He noted that this development was the outcome of his organization meeting with the Chief of Staff to the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ali Bello.

According to him, 500 housing units will be built for the State workers while the remaining 500 is for the local government workers.

Hon. Suleiman averred that his organization will immediately swing into action in providing the land for the construction of the housing units to reduce the burdens of workers concerning accommodation.

He commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for this initiative, stressing that workers in Kogi State will forever be grateful to him for bringing back smiles on their faces amidst the hike in house rent by landlords in Kogi State.

“Kogi State Governor Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is writing his name again in gold for this laudable initiative to build 1000 housing units for both State and Local Government workers. We are all aware that many landlord have increased they house rents by over 150 percents.

“This has affected many Kogites including State and Local Government workers. When people are battling with feeding their loved ones, payment of house rent have become a bone in their neck. Most of this landlord are not considerate that things are hard.

“They will sit on their own, jack up their rent, thereby putting innocent Citizens into undue pressure. With the construction of this 1000 housing units, it will be a big relief for the people of Kogi State.

“When somebody is doing well, we should commend him or her irrespective of what we are affiliated with. Governor Ododo is doing well, so he deserves all our praises.

“I am not a politician, but the fillers I am getting from the people of Kogi State and what I am seeing for my self is enough for all of us to support this government because he means well for the people.

“I am using this opportunity to thank the State Government for giving me this task to provide land for this laudable project. Am assuring the government and workers that I wont disappoint them in the task before me,” he stated.

Hon. Suleiman, however, appealed to the people of Kogi State to believe in the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo stressing that, he remains committed towards bringing good governance down to the grassroot.
