Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has congratulated the Governor-Elect of Ekiti State, Dr John Kayode Fayemi, on his hard earned victory at the governorship election held over the weekend.
The Speaker also felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari, and the All Progressives Congress (APC), under the leadership of Comrade Adams Oshiomole for a wonderful outing in the July 14th Ekiti State governorship election.
He commended Ekiti people for towing the path of the progressives by voting the APC and Dr Kayode Fayemi to join other progressive states in the country.
Kolawole also applauded the role played by Kogi State governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello for joining the campaign to mobilize all Kogites resident in Ekiti State to vote APC which resulted in a huge success.
He called on the opposition in the state to accept the outcome of the poll, as the exercise was adjudged free, fair and credible by international and local observers.
He urged Dr Kayode Fayemi to be magnanimous in victory by embracing all Ekiti citizens irrespective of their tribe, religion or political affiliation.
