Ekinrin-Adde Gets New ‘Alaa’

The Olu-Adde of Ekinrin-Adde, His Royal Majesty, Oba Anthony Bamigbaye, Idowu, ACA,  Ahe-Maworo 1 over the weekend installed Chief Abiodun Davies, as the ‘Alaa’ of Adde.

With this installation, the former Ekekula has now moved up the ladder of traditional hierarchy to become the second in command to the King.

High Chief Abiodun Davies, until his latest elevation was the third in command. He has been a respected member of the council of Kingmakers of Ekinrin-Adde.

Chief Abiodun, who is popularly called Alaketu by his buddies started his service to the community early in life. As a student, he was President of the Ekinrin-Adde Students’ Union, Director of Social, Ijumu Students’ Union,  apart from being a departmental President at the Kwara College of Technology.

Chief Abiodun became Secretary General of the Ekinrin-Adde Community Development Association (EACDA) after his Youth Service.

He served many years in that capacity and later evolve to become the President of the association, becoming the youngest ever to occupy the office at that time. He performed excellently to the delight of Community that his tenure was extended. 

After his tenure, EACDA honoured him with the chieftaincy title ‘Bashorun’ of Ekinrin-Adde. After this, he started his queue on the traditional chieftaincy line, from the scratch, gradually ascending the ladder to become the second in command last weekend. 

His new title was last held by the current Olu-Adde, HRH, Oba Anthony Bamigbaye Idowu, ACA, (Ahe Maworo1). During the process for the selection of Olu-Adde, Chief Abiodun was the chairman of the selection committee.

An Administrator per excellence, Chief Abiodun Davies was the founding Administrative Secretary to Atlantic Hall Trust Council. He is still active in the institution till date.

Chief Alaa remains a front line philanthropist in the community. He has so many indigent students under his scholarship scheme both at home and in Lagos where he resides.
