The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Security Matters for Yagba West Local Government Area, Hon Oshaloto Tade Joseph on Friday visited Muslim communities across the council.
The visit was to felicitate with the Muslims faithfuls as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el Kabir.
Hon. Tade used the occasion to thank them for their cooperation in maintaining law and order within the local government.
Recall that since assumption of office of the SSA security and the launch Operation Àlàáfíà Rà Ṣe Yagba West has witnessed significant decline in crime rate.
There has also been noticeable reduction in farmers/herders clashes with improved relationship.
The Chief Imam of Egbe and his counterparts at Odo Ere, in separate remarks, thanked Oshaloto for identifying with them and also deeming it fit to bring them gifts.
Similarly, the Eleri of Eri land, Ọba Fasedu noted that Oshaloto has demonstrated the capacity to lead by reaching out to all and sundry. He commended him for representing Governor Yahaya Bello creditably well.
The monarch counseled that the current war against insecurity should not lose steam so that the local government can be attractive to investors.
In his reaction, the chairman Miyetti Allah group expressed their appreciation to Oshaloto for finding time to celebrate with them, and for all his efforts towards security of their lives and property.
He pledged that the peace process initiated by the SSA will be sustained while also assuring him of their continued cooperation.
