Eid-el Kabir: Work for Unity, Progress of Kogi West, Nigeria – Senator Karimi

Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West, has urged Nigerians to redouble their efforts and work for the unity and progress of the district and the country in general.

In a statement issued to newsmen in Lokoja on Wednesday, Senator Karimi enjoined Kogites, particularly Kogi West senatorial district constituents, to be steadfast in love to one another.

Senator Karimi said the occasion of the 2026 Eid el-Kabir celebration calls for repentance and forgiveness of one another, especially now that the country is striving towards coming out of it numerous challenges.

He said that it is by so doing that we can be committed to what is just and right for our District. Let’s not allow outsiders to divide us. We have already won the war against set backs and stalled development.

Karimi urged the Muslim faithful to intensify their prayers for peace in the country, and admonished religious leaders to lead their followers properly so that they do not depart from the truth.

The Senator assured that the National Assembly would continue to be guided by the wishes and aspirations of Nigerians in the onerous task of making laws for peace, unity and good governance of the Nation.

Sen. Karimi congratulated President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, entire Muslims in the State, particularly praised Muslims in Kogi West for their support for the APC led administration in the Country and in the State.

While he prayed for God to grant the faithful many more years of celebration of Eid El Kabir celebration, called on the faithful to be moderate in their celebration, urged them to be their brothers keeper in the present times of economic challenges.
