Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole has felicitated with the Muslim faithful in Nigeria and particularly in Kogi State on this year’s Edi-El- Kabir celebration, urging them to use the occasion to pray for both the state and nation.

He said Eid-el Kabir is an important occasion for the Muslim faithfuls, charging them to remember the sacrifice Prophet Ibrahim made in obedience to the will of God. He enjoined all and sundry to inculcate the virtue of sacrifice either as  Muslims and non-Muslims to build a nation of our dream.

He urged all Muslim faithfuls to use this festive period of sacrifice to pray for the peace and development of the state and country at large especially to overcome the security challenges bedevilling the country.

He called on well-meaning individuals and corporate organizations to reach out to the less privileged in the society, especially Muslim brothers and sisters that may not have enough resources to celebrate appropriately.

He charged them to be ready to provide useful information of strange movements in the environment to the security agents as that will help us to overcome the menace.
