Eid el Adha: No Sacrifice is Too Much for Peaceful Coexistence – Dr Omede

A former Commissioner of Health in Kogi State, Dr. Idris Omede has felicitated Nigerian Muslims and their counterparts across the world on today’s celebration of Eid-el-Kabir.

In his goodwill message, Dr. Omede, a past President of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), said there are lots of virtues and prospects in religious injunctions of Eid el Adha (Kabir) which is encapsulated in selfless service and sacrifice.

He admonished that for a just, united, productive and patriotic nation, no sacrifice will be too much to make for peaceful coexistence, growth and development.

“As a people, may we imbibe this spirit in our individual and collective engagement and genuine relationships, characterized by just, fairness, selflessness in our personal and official conduct and also positive attitude to our endeavours.

“A society is defined by its people and the activities that go in it. May our nation demonstrate such attributes and create excellent level playing ground and relationship among the people,” he said. 

The former President, Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN), prayed that this year Eid el Adha usher in and strengthen Nigeria’s togetherness in many fronts for love, peace, focus growth and development.
