The senatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi East, Dr. Joseph Erico Ameh, has congratulated the entire Muslim Ummah on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In a message to the people of Kogi East on Wednesday, Dr. Erico called for unity and brotherliness.
He stated that for him, leadership has always been about service and putting the welfare of the people first.
He also announced his donation of over 1,500 bags of rice to ensure families have enough to celebrate with and over 500 live rams for onward distribution to Muslim faithful and party loyalists across Igala and Bassa communities.
Empowerment Is Our Track Record, Not a Campaign Promise
I have always believed that the best way to fight poverty is to give people real opportunities. My commitment to Kogi East is not just about politics; it is a lifelong mission.
Through my parent company, The Real Strikers Security LTD, we have provided gainful employment to over 8,000 Igala sons and daughters who today secure banks and major institutions across Nigeria. In Ankpa Local Government Area alone, over 400 Igala and Bassa sons are currently on our payroll. We didn’t wait for government funding – we used our personal resources because we believe in the capacity and dignity of our youth.
Security Efforts Towards Sallah
No real progress can happen if our people do not feel safe in their own homes. In line with the security-conscious and proactive administration of our Governor, Alhaji Usman Ododo, I have taken steps to collaborate closely with the government.
From our discussions, we have secured their full commitment to increasing security presence in our region. Very soon, we will see heavy deployment of soldiers, police officers, and other security agents across Kogi East to support the state’s framework and ensure our people are fully protected.
A New Dawn: What to Expect from Me
I use this special occasion to express my deepest gratitude to you all. You gave me your mandate and trust at the recently concluded APC primary elections, and I am deeply humbled by your overwhelming support. As we wait for the official announcement by the National Working Committee (NWC), I reassure you: your trust is not misplaced.
If we can achieve all this from the outside, imagine how much more we will accomplish together when we have the official weight of the Senate mandate behind us. What we are doing now is only a shadow of what is to come. I promise to expand job creation, bring real federal opportunities to our youth, and ensure Kogi East finally gets the respect and development it deserves.
