Eid-El-Adha: Akanle Felicitates With Muslims

Kogi West Senatorial aspirant, Dr. Williams Toyin Akanle has congratulated Muslim Ummah for being among those privileged by Allah (SWT) to witness yet another Eid-el-Adha, a historic period of offering sacrifice and spiritual elevation.
Akanle, in a statement signed by Prince Dayo Akanmode, Director General of Akanle Campaign Team, urged Muslims to bear in mind the lessons entrenched in the festive period, as they engage in offering the sacrifice which summed up Muslims’ conviction in their Lord and the singular lesson in the act of sacrifice.
The statement said: “Furthermore, that Muslims are being reminded through this act of worship that, trials are part of life. It doesn’t matter one’s position, prestige and/or affiliation. What is important is how Muslims react to such trials, thus Muslims are here reminded to be positive by submitting to the will of Allah, the Most High, the way Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) reacted when asked to offer his child for sacrifice, and whom Muslims are urged to emulate, as taught by the Noble Prophet (PBUH).
“Akanle Campaign team uses this medium to call on the Muslims Ummah to eschew rancour and bitterness, be forgiving, responsible in all undertakings and avoid anything capable of attracting Allah’s anger in the present circumstance we found ourselves. We equally call on the Ummah to be steadfast in promoting the message and virtues of Islam in this celebrated period.”
Akanle reiterates his call to the Muslim faithful to intensify prayers for the state and  the nation against all manners of misfortunes and implored Muslims to continue seeking Allah’s intervention on the nagging insecurity challenges bedeviling the country.
“While wishing all Muslim brethren and Sisters who are currently on Hajj, a hitch-free Hajj rites and safe return to their respective families and equally wish Muslims Ummah an accepted sacrifice,” the statement concluded.
