Just days after distributing rams to Muslim clerics and redeeming a huge monetary pledge to Waters of Life Miniseries, Kogi State House of Assembly member representing Igalamela-Odolu Constituency, Hon. (Bar) Cosmas Atabor has distributed bags of rice to Muslim faithful and APC members in the local government.
Hon. Atabor who, himself, missed the event due to legal matters at the Election Petitions Tribunals, was represented by APC chieftain and former Councillor representing Ajaka II, Hon. Zekeri Adama.
In his remark, Hon. Adama stated that ” Hon. Cosmas Ilemona Atabor was fully prepared to carry out this activity himself but was restrained by legal matters at the elections petitions tribunal where words reaching us indicates that the case against him has been struck out by the tribunal”.
He appealed for calm, patience and support for Bar. Atabor whom he said “has hit the ground running in his responsibilities as a lawmaker for the people of Kogi State.
“He has also asked me to sincerely thank all of you for your unflinching support for the APC and the governor of the state, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as he seeks a second term as governor” he added.
Responding, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the local government, Hon. Paul Abalaka commended Bar. Atabor for his recent charitable gestures. He assured him of the support of the party executives and urged him not to relent in his efforts to ensure that the interests of the people of the area are fully protected in the hallowed chamber of the Kogi State House of Assembly.
