Kogi state lawmaker and member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Alfa Momoh Rabiu has in his usual way of magnanimity light up two Churches in Enabo and Inye, both in Ankpa local government area of Kogi state with a gift of dual output generator set presented to the church(es) during Easter.
The gesture which was not hinged on request nor any prior notice to the beneficiaries came at as a surprise to both congregations as the lawmaker took time to attend Easter mass at both churches before he made the presentations.
While receiving the present at United Evangelical Church, Enabo, the chapel pastor, Pastor Desmond who was flanked by the Church committee chairman, Elder Job Sule described the gesture as alien noting the event as the first he has ever witnessed of a Muslim making giving an assistance to a church without the latter requesting.
In a very similar vein, Rev IG Amodu of the Reformed Ever Christian Church, Inye regretted that the Assembly member missed the Easter Mass even as he led the Church elders and Deacons in a special prayer for the lawmaker.
On his part, Elder Alkali Usman of the REC, Inye opined that he was not surprised at the uncommon act of Honorable Rabiu having heard so much good of his stewardship and vowed that God will destroy whoever intends evil towards Hon Rabiu citing that his stewardship is a replica of God’s rule.
Earlier, Hon Omale Jonathan of NDIC Enugu who is also a former house of assembly aspirant in the area could not withhold his joy while making his remark. He noted that his fulfillments at Hon Rabiu on the grounds that all he had dreamt of for Ankpa 2 are what Hon Rabiu is doing and concluded by calling on all to always support him.
