Residents of Yagba West Local Government Area in Kogi State will benefit from a two-day free health outreach and mobile clinic organized by Dr. Toyosi Akure, founder of the Toyosi Akure Foundation.
According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Head of Welfare of the foundation, the outreach is scheduled to take place on March 6 and 7.
Dr. Akure said the initiative is aimed at improving access to basic healthcare services for residents.
According to the statement, services to be provided during the outreach include medical consultations, blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, dental examinations, treatment for minor ailments, and hearing assessments.
He explained that the program is designed to serve men, women, the elderly, and young people across the town and area councils without discrimination.
“We are bringing quality healthcare directly to the people of Yagba. They deserve the best.
This outreach will give residents the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations with medical experts and receive proper health advice,” Dr. Akure said.
He emphasized that the program is open to everyone, regardless of political affiliation.
“Your health is your wealth. We encourage everyone to come out and take advantage of this opportunity,” he added.
The first day of the outreach, for residents in the Town Council, will hold on March 6 at St. John’s Open Field, Egbe, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The second day, for the Area Council, will take place on March 7 at the Area Court Yard, Odo-Ere, also starting at 10:00 a.m.
Dr. Akure, who is an APC aspirant for the Yagba West Constituency seat in the Kogi State House of Assembly, noted that the outreach is part of his broader commitment to supporting indigent residents through accessible healthcare.
Through his humanitarian foundation, he has previously supported women, youths, children, students, and persons with disabilities in the community.
Residents are encouraged to attend promptly to fully benefit from the free medical services.
