Dr. Mrs. Happiness Ozioma Obi-Anike, wife of the Executive Chairman of Enugu East Local Government Area, Engr. Pst. Beloved-Dan Obi-Anike, has been honoured as an “Outstanding Women Leadership & Empowerment Champion.”
The recognition, presented on September 30, 2026, acknowledged her commitment to women’s empowerment, community development and service to the people of Enugu East.
Beyond the recognition, Dr. Obi-Anike has continued to demonstrate strong support for her husband’s administration and his responsibilities as Executive Chairman. She is frequently present among the people, engaging with women, families and community members and supporting initiatives that promote their welfare.
Her role has extended beyond simply standing beside her husband. Through her accessibility and engagement with the grassroots, she has become a visible part of the administration’s efforts to connect with the people and respond to community needs.
Her support for the chairman reflects a shared commitment to public service, with both working in their respective capacities to advance the interests of Enugu East Local Government Area.
The award presentation was attended by community stakeholders and dignitaries. Photographs from the ceremony showed Dr. Obi-Anike receiving the framed award alongside her husband, the Executive Chairman.
