Kogi State Science, Technical Education and Teaching Service Commission (STETSCOM) has disassociated itself from a purported teachers recruitment making the round in a section of the media.
In a statement issued in Lokoja on Monday, Executive Chairman, Kogi STETSCOM, Mrs. Cecilia Cook, urged the general public to disregard the rumour as it is the handiwork of mischievous persons, who are bent on defrauding innocent job seekers.
According to her, Kogi State Government, through STETSCOM, has a functional website www.stetscom.kogistate.gov.ng/ where necessary information about recruitment and other information is posted for the consumption of the people of the state.
“We urge the people of Kogi State not to apply for such recruitment or pay money to anyone as the Commission is not recruiting teachers in its Secondary School at the moment.
“The Commission wishes to appeal to the public to assist it with relevant information that will help to crack down on the perpetrators of this heinous act with the view of bringing them to book,” she said.
