Democracy Day: Nigeria Should Be Role Model to Other Democracies – Haruna Musa

In commemoration of 19 years uninterrupted democracy in Nigeria, Hon. Haruna Idoko Musa (H.I.M) representing Idah State Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly congratulated Nigerians, and eulogized the heroes who fought for, still fighting and uphold her democracy.
The message was contained in a message he made available to journalists in Lokoja on Tuesday, and it reads;
“The efforts of our Heroes Past over the Democracy we are celebrating today cannot be overemphasized, congratulations to, Nigerians.
“The best opportunity we have as a Democratic Nation is to tolerate ourselves, every of our Democracy Heroes cut across all parts of Nigeria as such we can’t afford to jeopardize their effort by being intolerant.
“Despite the efforts of our Past Heroes, we still have some of our leaders who are fighting to uphold our prestigious Democracy”.
He added that Nigeria’s Democracy has grown rapidly and old enough to be role model to other democracies in the world.
“In becoming more democratic, we must be guided by our norms and beliefs as a leading African country”, the statement concluded.
