The Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Dekina / Bassa Federal Constituency is set to hold its mega rally for the Constituency. The rally is due to hold on Saturday the 26th of January, 2019 in Dekina town, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lokoja the capital of Kogi State, the House of Representatives Candidate of the party for Dekina / Bassa Federal Constituency, Hon. Sani Idakwo Philips said the event would be one of a kind in the history of the local government.
According to Sani, the decision to take the rally to Dekina town is premised on the fact that Dekina town is the local government headquarters for the Constituency and also for access to the venue for those coming in from Bassa local government.
He added that SDP will spring strange surprises in the February 16th elections as God is set to do a new thing for the constituency.
Sani Idakwo Philips seized the opportunity to assure all supporters of the Party of victory, by God’s grace, in the coming general elections. He also used the opportunity to invite all supporters of the late Prince Abubakar Audu to the event as he says the late Audu was his Political Mentor.
Thousands of supporters are expected for the rally as provision has been made for the security and safety of all supporters at the rally.
In his words Sani Idakwo stressed that “the horse is prepared for battle but safety is of the Lord”.
Idakwo assures all supporters victory for the party.
