The African Democratic Congress (ADC) said it received with rude shock the sudden demise of HRM Oba Yusuf Michael Oladele, the Obadofin of Owe Kingdom.
In a statement signed by the director general, ADC Campaign Council (Kabba-Bunu LG), Tunde Akanmidu, the party said the monarch’s demise was a great loss to entire Kabba, Okun land and Kogi state.
ADC described the late monarch as a true custodian of tradition and culture whose disposition, advise, counsel has been of a great virtues for all regardless of class, race, religious or political divides.
“The great wealth of wisdom of the late monarch, his depth of knowledge and his charisma of royalty will be greatly missed.
“He was indeed an amiable traditional ruler, whose reign symbolizes unity, progress and the development of Kabba Kingdom,” the statement read.
While expressing her deep condolences to Kabba people and all members of the Royal Family, ADC, on behalf of all the flag bearers of the party in Okun land for the coming 2023 general elections, prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed monarch and fortitude to bear the huge but irreparable lost.
ADC also pledged to be part of the funeral arrangement when the date shall be communicated.
