The member representing Ankpa Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives and Chairman of the House Committee on Steel Development, Rep Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali Halims stands out in ensuring that his constituents benefits from the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Survival Fund.

The development came to public glare as a team of the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management arrived the Federal Constituency head office of the people’s representative in Ankpa, to capture artisans, traders and professionals enrolled across Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro local government areas of Kogi state.

Hon Halims, who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Okeme Emmanuel, while addressing the beneficiaries harped on some of the achievements recorded in the federal constituency so far and further revealed plans to commission over fifteen boreholes by the end of the month.

While the beneficiaries were full of gratitude to the lawmaker, the COVID-19 Survival Fund team expressed satisfaction in the processes, especially as it regards to peaceful conducts.

It can be recalled that mid last year, while the corona virus pandemic was at its peak, Hon. Halims decried the low number of beneficiaries outlined for the conditional cash transfer to Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro local government areas, hence his advocacy for a reasonable spread of the COVID-19 Survival Fund in his constituency.
