It is believed that every present is a product of the past while the future is a product of the present. The Future can, depending on the driver decide to be a radical departure from a good past to a bad present or a bad present to a better future. If there is a radical departure from the status Quo, the initiator will be remembered by posterity as a most desired Change Agent.
It is in relation to the above assertion that I make bold to say Honourable Hassan Omale the Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency has been able to set the ball rolling and will certainly engrave his name in the indelible memory of his constituents.
The activity flooded week commenced with the hosting of Zuma Coal Miners operating in Okobo -Enjema district of Ankpa Local government.
The Community representatives were led by their Member representing Ankpa II in the Kogi State House of Assembly and the motive was to agree on the modality of drafting a Community development agreement to enable it to be a “win- win” situation for the operating Company and the host community.
Recall that the Meeting is the third as the initial one was at Zuma headquarters, the second at Okobo Community and the third in the National assembly.
The Meeting at the National Assembly ended with all parties agreeing to engage the services of a legal team to draft a Community development agreement in line with the mining act and all laws of the federal republic of Nigeria in relation to Coal Mining.
The Honourable Members are on this course in response to the various petitions that were submitted to the office of Honourable Hassan Omale accusing Zuma Coal Mining company of abdicating its corporate social responsibility.
Posterity will certainly remember Honourable Benjamin Ikani Okolo representing Dekina/ Bassa and Honourable Emmanuel Egwu (Idah,Igala Mela,Ibaji/Ofu) as very responsible and concerned Igala Children who rose in support of their colleague Honourable Hassan Omale(Ankpa, Omalla /Olamaboro) and  Honourable Rabiu Momoh Alfa( Ankpa II in Kogi House of Assembly) to achieve a most noble cause in the interest of Igala land.

He further took time to advise the people not to get weary because of the internal wrangling of the APC. He said they were all children of same fathers despite their difference. (Meaning be it GYB, Edward Onoja, Hon Linus Enenche, Hon Morandy, Abubakar Audu group, Barrister Ekpah, Group, Abiodun Faleke Group?  Whatever group? just attend if you are APC- “My interpretation of the APC Chairman Olamaboro LGA”)
The Member representing Ankpa II in the Kogi State House of Assembly in his own remarks had two strategic advice for the APC in Olamaboro and the people in General. He said being a local Government that produced the Chief of staff to the current Governor, they should benefit more than every Local Government due to their Son’s strategic role in the government. He also said the relationship between the chief of staff and their legislator in the State house of Assembly should be without rancor as it’s the only way Olamaboro can benefit very well from the Government of the day. “Call your children to order for the benefit of your community” were his words.
In response to the Chairman Olamaboro APC Chairman that everyone should attend every meeting, Hon Momoh Rabiu opines that a man with more than one wife is a polygamist and he asked the crowd what a woman with more than one husband is called. Of course, they all replied, “A prostitute” He further said he does not believe people whom have not been able to agree on a Progressive path to walk together can meet to discuss purposeful strategies or bring home purposeful progress.
