Everything in politics is driven by interest except for the essence. This is to say all those who have contested or served at one capacity or the other overtime did solely to satisfy their urge and personal interests. However, since the essence of political establishments are not to enrich the elected but to rather advance the well being of the electorates, how well an elected officer(s) can justify his mandate becomes the score card of performance.
Bearing the forgoing in mind brings into know why there are many dynamics in politics. The dynamics therefore are recipes for and to the survival of every elected official. Thus, the political party, religious, ethnic, section and temperaments form the basis of these dynamics. Yet, no matter how hard anyone tries, sentiment is a natural human instinct that cannot be shelved especially when there is a stake.
So, the ability to manage individual interest cum the satisfaction of unavoidable necessities for an all round dividend to all asunder hence, becomes the requisite of ascertaining a successful tenure. Without any ambiguity, the case of Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu is therefore not different from the above dynamics as he unlike some of his counterparts has a lot of differences to satisfy.
Been a very religiously tolerant person; he married from a renowned Roman Catholic Christian home, owing to his epic family background; he has numerous siblings, friends and accolites, as an erstwhile opposition leader before the emergence of APC; a lot of party faithfuls look up to him, having lived an uncommonly modest life; many youths within his and outside community emblems him a model, due to this youthful disposition; the youths rally round him and for the uprightness and sincerity of purpose characterised of his father, many sees him as a pathway to the octogenarian but evergreen political phenomenon and the list grows.
Hence, his successes recorded thus far actually depict the reign of a servant leader. While they are too numerous to mention, the young, vibrant, illustrious, focused, exemplary and fulfilling representative has in the space of two years which corroborates as his midterm per se touched virtually all communities in the constituency. Interestingly, such strides that are evenly distributed in the basis of needs and personal resolve of the benefiting wards and communities.
Despite, heavy demands and contingent expenditures amidst very limited resources, the ebullient honorable has to his credit the history of been the first ever lawmaker to present his constituency allowance cheque before the people in a town hall meeting during which an open floor was declared for suggestions, inputs, observations and proposal on how the money should be utilized. This is why I say without fear of favour or future contradiction that Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has judiciously and prudently justified the mandate reposed on him by the good people of Ankpa 2 constituency even before the end of his tenure.
Aside his numerous constituency projects, Hon Alfa Mommoh Rabiu has through his excellent performance set a benchmark for his future successors and those holding similar responsibility via his health intervention activities, social welfare packages, regular home visitation, pro people disposition, educational support programs as well as human capital developments.
In conclusion therefore, I want to for the sake of humanity call on all those within the structures of public service to emulate the charismatic leadership style of this honorable whose vibrancy does not only stop on the floor of the house where he is giving his constituency a good voice but readily available to his people at the grassroots. More so that history remembers people only by legacies and we owe ourselves the choice of what to be remember for. In the end, “qui sera sera”
