The Bishop of Kabba Anglican Diocese, Rt Rev Steven Kayode Akobe, has enjoined Christians to give gratitude to God at all time especially when looking back at all the blessings God has bestowed on them.

Rt Rev Steven Akobe  said this during the thanksgiving service of Chief Joseph Ajayi Femi at the Saviour’s Angelica Church, Kabba.

The cleric said the celebrant attained 80th year in life by the grace of God and should therefore return all gratitude to Him, adding that many who are not up to 80 can no longer walk about in good health the way Chief Femi does.

Reading from the book of Luke chapter 17verses 11, he said ten lepers were healed by Jesus but only one returned to express gratitude to God.

Pointing out lessons from the passage, Akobe noted that thanksgiving is not rampant as only one of the lepers came to appreciate God and his thanksgiving was timely.

Akobe also enjoined the congregation not to use unrighteous weath but righteous to thank God, adding that gratitude in the church should be prioritised above social gathering celebration.

While rejoicing with the celebrant by singing a church hymnal ” Fill thou my life O Lord…”,he urged him to always look back on the blessings of God and give thanksgivings with worshipping God.

Present at the thanksgiving service are the Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi, traditional rulers, former Commissioner for Finance, Dr Steven Olorunfemi and many others .
